Participating in the UCDC program is as affordable as a regular semester at UC Merced.

If you are accepted into the UCDC program, a $500 housing deposit will be due at the first scheduled orientation session. Your deposit will not be returned to if you decide to leave the program.
The financial aid office will take into account the higher housing cost, airline tickets, and even the possibility that you may need to buy business attire when developing your financial aid package.
Participants also have the opportunity to compete for the Matsui Foundation Fellowship .hose who are granted the Fellowship receives a $2,000 stipend and personal guidance and aid for a Capitol Hill internship placement.
